Beth Moore: ‘For God has not given us a spirit of fear’

By Bridgett Banks

As the world locks down over coronavirus and daily we watch the death toll climb, it is an easy time for very one of us to be in great fear.

It’s fear on a global level, but on a local level, businesses are being forced to shut and there is the risk of a mass number of people who could lose their jobs.

These are unprecedented times for all of us. Renowned author and speaker Beth Moore has taken to Instagram to encourage Christian women around the world.

Wearing a cap with the words ‘Brave’ embroidered across it, she stated: “Wear it if you have to but receive it by faith and own it as a co-heir of Christ because this is the legacy of the courageous men and women of the faith, young and old, who went before us. They had a lot to be scared of, too.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but one of power, love and sound judgment.” 2 Tim 1:7 CSB Take courage. He’s offering it.”

But God.

People who may have laughed at our faith will now want what we have got, and now is the moment for all Christian women to display their peace and trust in their Creator at a time when all the things that the world chases after cannot offer any hope.

Christian author and pastor Max Lucado also shared the video below to Youtube to encourage Christians. May this be the hour that we rise up in faith, not fear, for great is our God.
